Click to expand. Android Mate or any file explore that gives you access to the system folder.
The bloat is easy to remove find the app in fhe file manager and delete it. Back the system up first. Personally I did a lot of deleting with no current issues. Photo bucket, places, UNO, all cricket apps, gone no issues YouTube Facebook any app. Oh yea if I remember correctly titanium backup offers the uninstall and freeze options.
Ok I even deleted the X-T9. The XT9 was a bit tricky because an error that kept from doing anything popped up did a battery pull and started up normal. I like the keyboard after the XT9 delete. Just explore the diffrent files and sub systems. What I need are ROMS. That worked PERFECTLY for me. I don't think you need the driver package since the BUILT IN package appears to be what it needs.
Plug in phone right click drive that appears click install put phone in debug run the zergling package. It does the rest. Since I never plan to use as a phone I stripped the bugger even with lapseit Pro HDR Pro Netflix (works great) and go launcher once stripped I had 71mb available.
Digital dash. Time lapse camera. $30 at best buy no strings. Hard to beat that.
I had the same issues as the above fellas, where permission denied on comand: './flashimage recovery /mnt/sdcard/??x-500-recovcery.img' Permission denied something like that. What i did was found where teh system partition was mounted 'mount' read through till i say the '/system' it was on mtdblock2 so mounted hte system as R/W 'mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock /system' then create a temp folder i did 'mkdir /system/data/temp' then moved both the image and teh flashimage program into that folder. But teh command 'mv flashimage /system/data/temp/flashimage' returned an error about cross device something so i used es file explore to move the contents then back to adb shell 'cd /system/data/temp' //set permissions 'chmod 0775 flashimage' //NOTE: YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SIMPLY SET PERMISSIONS WITH OUT MOVING THESE FILES??? DIDNT TRY IT MABYE YOU SHOULD then finally execute the program './flashimage recovery /sdcard/zte-x500-recovery.img' ok hope this helps someone.
